Insects may be small, but they are the foundation upon which healthy ecosystems are built. Insects act as food sources for countless species and help with plant pollination, soil health, nutrient cycling, water quality, and pest control. However, many states lack the funding and authority to adequately prioritize the conservation of insects. In this webinar, we will hear from experts on the biological importance of insects, the growing public interest in protecting insect species, the roles of state wildlife agencies in promoting insect conservation, and several options for better conserving these important species at the state level.

This webinar is for current state legislators and their staff.
