Carnivores play a critical role in maintaining ecosystem health and biodiversity, as well as protecting ecosystems against climate change. However, these species – including mountain lions, wolves, bobcats, coyotes, and bears – have been targeted since settlement by Europeans. With recent recognition of their benefits, efforts to conserve or even reintroduce carnivores are gaining support. Join us for a webinar on the science of coexisting with large carnivores, with presentations from Dr. Adrian Treves from University of Wisconsin-Madison and Michael Waasegiizhig Price from the Great Lakes Indian Fish and Wildlife Commission. Additional speakers announced soon!

We will end with a Q&A and discussion. Come prepared with any questions you have about supporting carnivore coexistence in your state!

This briefing is only open to current legislators.
